JGS Lifecare to host Vino & Vision on November 1
Community invited to this goal-setting and vision board workshop
JGS Lifecare, a leading health care system serving seniors and their families, invites the public to Vino & Vision on Thursday, November 1, from 6–8 p.m. This goal-setting and vision board workshop will be held at Ruth’s House Assisted Living Residence, 780 Converse Street, Longmeadow, part of the JGS Lifecare campus of care.
Cindy Sheridan Murphy, RDH, CEC-MP, and the members of the Each Moment We’re Alive women’s cancer support group, will lead this interactive event to help attendees clarify their futures through goal setting and brainstorming.
“This is a valuable exercise for anyone who wants to chart a course for goals they hope to achieve, whether they are health related, personal or professional,” said Lori Payson, director of community relations at JGS Lifecare. “We are delighted to bring Cindy and this group to the JGS campus as a resource for our local community.”
Participants will be guided in the creation of a vision board, a tool to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific goal.
“Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life,” said Sheridan Murphy. “Creating your board is one of the best ways to help you move forward after a life-threatening illness strikes. Your board will be your constant reminder of what you want in your life.”
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served, and all supplies, including canvas boards, crafting materials and magazines, will be provided. Guests are encouraged to bring personal photos that relate to their goals. Registration is required by calling 413-567-6212 ext. 3105 or emailing lpayson@JGSLifecare.com.
