Scheduler – Harriet and Ralph Kaplan Estates – Full Time

Position Summary: The primary purpose of this job position is to ensure appropriate scheduling of all licensed and non-licensed nursing staff to cover shifts 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure adequate licensed and non-licensed nursing staff to meet CJL staffing patterns and federal and state requirements;
  • Review, record, and manage requests for time off in accordance with CJL’s policies and procedures;
  • Maintain staff attendance records;
  • Update staffing sheets on an ongoing basis;
  • Replace any call-outs as soon as possible;
  • Monitor schedules to ensure that overtime is not incurred without the prior approval of the Administrator
  • Update and file monthly nursing paperwork
  • Complete nursing chart audits
  • Update, print and assign weekly RCA assignments
  • Assist with weekly payroll

Qualifications:

  • Must have computer experience;
  • Experience as a scheduler in a health care setting preferred;
  • ADP experience preferred;
  • Must possess outstanding organizational skills;
  • Must be able to interact effectively and professional with residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies/personnel and other staff members
