Resident Life at The Sosin Center for Rehabilitation
770 Converse Street
Longmeadow, MA 01106
The Sosin Center offers a new philosophy of care, grounded in the belief that people recuperate better in a non-institutional environment that respects their personal choices and offers meaningful resident-staff relationships. The design is like a home with beautifully appointed private rooms and central living spaces that encourage socialization. There are no nurses stations or medical carts. Our staff makes the effort to really get to know you and provide person-centered care as they help you achieve your rehabilitation goals.
There is no set time for breakfast and our staff will prepare what you like when you like it. Lunch and dinner are served family style. It’s just like living at home except here you are also getting the very best care, stimulating social and recreational activities and a staff who will quickly seem like family.
The shahbazim (certified nursing assistants) are assigned full-time to each specific home, which brings a high level of comfort and familiarity between residents and staff members. We work hard with your interdisciplinary team of caregivers to optimize your recovery and re-establish your independence.
We believe the opportunity to socialize and participate in stimulating activities, entertainment and programs contributes significantly to one’s overall health and quality of life.
