Message from Rob Whitten, President of JGS Lifecare

Dear Residents and Families,

As we welcome the spring and summer seasons, we are excited to host a variety of activities and events designed to bring our community together and create meaningful memories for residents, families, and staff alike.

During May, we proudly celebrate National Nurses Week and National Nursing Home Week. Residents and staff will enjoy a week of activities including carnivals, scavenger hunts, socials, food trucks, daily celebrations, and giveaways. These celebrations recognize the critical role that nurses play at JGS Lifecare.

We are pleased to announce that the remodel of our New York Household will begin later this year. The project will include private rooms, full bathrooms, updated common areas, and a fully functional kitchen where meals will be prepared within the household. The remodel marks the first step in the modernization of all our households in the years ahead.

In June, we look forward to our first-ever “Golden Olympics,” a collaborative event between JNH and Ruth’s House. We will be holding morning competitions at JNH, followed by a BBQ and afternoon competitions at Ruth’s House. The spirted games will include volleyball, bowling, golf, cornhole, bocce and axe throwing.
