Message from Rob Whitten, President of JGS Lifecare

Dear Residents and Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer to the fullest. For this month’s newsletter, I would like to address two very important initiatives we have put in place for our wonderful employees.

First, we rolled out special trips for our employees and their families. Beginning in August, we are sending employees, based on their years of service in the organization, to the Encore Casino in Boston with a guest. For younger families, we are also offering a stay at the Great Wolf Lodge water park. Both trips are covered by JGS Lifecare, along with spending money to ensure employees and guests take advantage of the many amenities offered at both destinations. These trips will be available throughout this year and next.

Additionally, last Thursday we celebrated the opening of the JGS pantry, which will be open to employees on a weekly basis. Our Grand Opening gave 165 employees the opportunity to stock up on groceries for themselves and their families. Items such as pineapples, eggs, chicken, corn on the cob, amongst other products, were available at no cost. The campus store is a concept that our friends at Legacy Lifecare have implemented at several of their other sites and we are thrilled and very appreciative that they have established one on our Longmeadow campus.
