Making New Connections at Ruth’s House!

Ruth’s House Assisted Living, a vibrant community, offers residents not only exceptional care but also the opportunity for new friendships and companionship. Sandy and Vinnie are two residents who found out, firsthand, how this nurturing environment can lead to an unexpected but welcome relationship.
Sandy’s journey to Ruth’s House began after a fall in her previous home in Miami, Florida. The former 4th and 5th-grade teacher wanted to be closer to her son and decided to move into Ruth’s House. “The people here are wonderful,” Sandy shared with a warm smile. “I make an effort to participate in everything because you never know what you might learn, or who you might meet!”
Vinnie, who holds a doctorate in biomedical engineering and enjoyed a long career as professor of engineering, moved to Ruth’s House from Worcester about a year ago. The assisted living quickly became home. Vinnie exudes a genuine warmth and enjoys welcoming new residents.
Reflecting on their relationship, Vinnie shared, “Sandy and I met and immediately knew it was a special connection. When I meet new people, I want to know everything about them.”
Their affection is heartwarming. “We enjoy talking about life and each other,” Vinnie continued. “Plus, we agree that what’s important is love, kindness, and treating people the way they should be treated.”
Sandy and Vinnie are planning a Celebration of their Lives in the Fall. Their story serves as a testament to the opportunities for meaningful connections that flourish within our vibrant community. Clearly, Ruth’s House enriches the lives of its residents in the most wonderful ways.
