Family Letter

letter

To Our Dear Residents and Families,

Especially during this difficult time, the health and safety of our residents remain our top priority. We want to assure you that JGS Lifecare is monitoring all aspects related to COVID-19 extremely closely. With guidance from state and federal health experts, we are following their recommendations as well as the requirements of regulatory bodies to keep our residents safe. Our singular focus right now is preventing the spread of this virus.

As you are likely aware, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Governor Baker have temporarily issued a no visitor policy for all nursing homes and assisted living residences, with limited exceptions for end-of-life and “compassionate care” situations. We do not know at this time how long these restrictions will remain in place. Although visiting is physically prohibited, we highly encourage you to connect with your loved ones virtually.  To better facilitate this method, we are providing devices and conducting staff training so that we can offer video communication.  More information on this solution will be available in the coming days.

Things are changing not just day-to-day, but in some cases, hour-by-hour. We commit to keeping you informed of these changes and are currently working out the best system to communicate with you on a regular basis. I am confident that our organization is in a very good position to weather this storm because we have a tremendous workforce. They are, and will continue to be, deeply committed to our residents and our families.

Please feel free to contact me or any of our staff members with any questions and concerns. We greatly appreciate your flexibility, trust and support as we deal with these unprecedented circumstances. Together we will get through this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Adam Berman
President
