Longmeadow, MA – In what has become an annual tradition, the Leavitt Family Jewish Home, a program of JGS Lifecare, located in Longmeadow, MA, will once again offer its Passover Take-Out program – “Bubbies Catering” – for the Passover holiday. Passover begins the evening of April 8th and ends at sundown April 16th.

“Bubbies” (which is the affectionate Yiddish term for “grandmother”) Catering Program was established as a convenience to Jewish community members who may not have the time to cook for Passover, or who may wish to supplement their cooking. This year’s specials include appetizers such as chopped liver, barbecued meatballs, chicken soup, matzo balls and gefilte fish with red horseradish. Dinner specialties include boneless breast of chicken with stuffing, roast brisket of beef jardinière, potato scallion kugel, carrot and sweet potato tzimmes, charoses, rosemary roasted potatoes, and mixed fruit compote.

“Bubbies” Passover Catering is being offered for a limited time before Passover begins. The final deadline for ordering is Friday, March 27th at noon, and pick-up is on Wednesday, April 8th from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Michael’s Café, which is accessed through the main entryway to Sosin Center for Rehabilitation, at 770 Converse Street in Longmeadow.
