Message from Rob Whitten, President of JGS Lifecare

Dear Residents and Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Passover. As the weather warms, preparations are underway on our campus to enhance the grounds and courtyards so they can be enjoyed by all. Soon the month of May and all it entails will be upon us, with beautiful flowers as well as celebrations in honor of National Skilled Nursing Care Center Week.
Held annually since 1967, and always beginning on Mother’s Day, National Skilled Nursing Care Center Week is May 11-17, 2025. Sponsored by the American Health Care Association, the week celebrates the essential role skilled nursing care centers play in providing high-quality, long-term and post-acute care to millions of individuals each year. At JGS, each day will be filled with events for both staff and residents. Our celebration includes raffles, food trucks, dessert trucks, performances and events.
I am happy to announce that JGS Life Care was awarded a Nonprofit Security Grant Program through the Office of Grants and Research, Homeland Security Division under the Commonwealth Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CNSGP) from the Office of Grants and Research. This state agency is part of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security. The grant will enable us to make a number of improvements around our campus, including enhancements to the Emergency Preparedness Plan and to the doors and windows throughout the campus.
Enjoy the spring season!
Warm regards,
Rob
