44th Annual Frankel-Kinsler Classic Day of Tournaments Supporting the Care of our Community’s Elders

JGS Lifecare held its 44th Annual Frankel-Kinsler Classic Day of Tournaments at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, on Monday, June 15th. Over 200 people participated in golf, pickleball, card-playing tournaments, and a celebratory awards dinner. The event grossed over $127,000 to support JGS Lifecare’s various senior care services.
Over the past 44 years, the Frankel Kinsler Classic has raised more than $2 Million for elder care. These donations have funded various improvements, including new resident vans, resident furnishings, hi-low beds, computer technologies to help keep elders stimulated, engaged and connected to their families, new flooring, and more. This year, the tournament proceeds will directly support programs and services that enhance the quality of life for residents.
“As an organization whose majority of funding comes through Medicaid – which pays only 60% of the cost of care – our Frankel-Kinsler Classic is an enormously important way for us to engage the community to provide fiscal resources to help us maintain our quality of care and enrich our programming,” commented Susan Kimball Halpern, vice president of development at JGS Lifecare. “We are so grateful for the tremendous show of support from area businesses and individuals who join us in our commitment to care for our elders.”
