JGS Lifecare Gift Shop

Assist with sales and inventory for our gift shop that sells jewelry, purses, giftware, candy and much more to our residents, family members, staff and guests. Apply Now


JGS Lifecare Coffee Shop

Volunteering in the JGS Coffee Shop is an opportunity to serve our campus community and their friends and families by making everyone feel welcome. While serving a café style menu, you’ll get to know our residents in a social companionable atmosphere and enjoy their heartfelt gratitude. Apply Now


Religious Services

Escort residents from the floors to our synagogue for Friday afternoon or Saturday morning Sabbath services. Help distribute head coverings, prayer books, and Kiddush food and wine. Apply Now


Broad Schoenberg Caring Friend Program

Some of our residents have no family or their family members live in other parts of the country. Spend an hour of time visiting, reading, playing games, strolling outside with one of our residents to brighten their day. Apply Now


Musicians, Current Events Enthusiasts, Bingo Players, Readers, Game & Card Players, Trivia Buffs

Share your interests and/or skills in leading or assisting with the many recreational activities on our campus. Apply Now


Group Performers

Are you part of a group that has a special talent or creative skill you would like to share with our residents? We are always seeking chorale groups, instrumental groups, story tellers, singers, or dance groups that will entertain our residents. Apply Now

Outing Escorts

The Leavitt Family Nursing Home Activities department and Ruth’s House schedule outings for residents to restaurants, shopping trips, museums and more. Escorts are needed to push wheelchairs and at restaurants to help place orders and facilitate eating in some cases. Jewish Geriatric Services has a van with a lift for transportation. Apply Now


Monthly Birthday Parties

Each month, all the residents who celebrate a birthday are invited to have a party in the auditorium. Volunteers socialize and serve lunch including birthday cake. Apply Now


Unit Volunteers/Honorable Menschen
